Geo Application Specialist

Basic Purpose:
To continuously provide support of the GGRE applications and data during seismic interpretations, geological correlations, reserve
estimation and field production to the Geoscientist and Reservoir Engineers that will ensure all GGRE application is properly maintained. To ensure equal access to applications and data across all physical resources. To ensure all Geoscientist and Reservoir Engineers Team members have knowledge of applications resources available and know how to use.



Nature and Scope:

Assists Geoscientist and Reservoir Engineers in:

1.
General housekeeping of all GGRE related applications and its database
2.
Maintaining Service Desk tickets/issues related to all subsurface applications, and maintain its service level agreement
3.
Must be qualified in all applications skills as stated in the job requirements
4.
Collecting, controlling, and integrating the relevant GGRE applications
5.
Supporting GGRE team

This position requires 24 hours X 7 days stand by to resolve any problem that may occur during certain period of time, such as drilling event.



Qualification & Experience:

*
Minimum S1 (Bachelor) degree in Geoscientist from an accredited institution.
*
Minimum 5 years experience in supporting GGRE application and workflow in Oil and Gas Company.
*
Demonstrable knowledge and capability in GGRE Applications client hardware systems, client operating systems, network operating systems, and client management tools and techniques. Technology certifications are beneficial.
*
Demonstrable knowledge and capability in a broad range of GGRE data workflow.
*
Documentation of stable work performance, excellent ability to provide geo-application support, good teamwork, good analyst/problem solver, good communication skill that is friendly and positive, good at anticipating future needs, self starter, able to balance priorities and meet deadlines, good at follow up, creative, good at carrying out project management plans.
*
Analytical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
*
Accountable for successful implementation of consistent availability of software across all hardware of the same platform within ConocoPhillips. Success is measured by on time and quality implementation of all assigned tasks in this area and ability to maintain consistency of software already made consistent.
*
Accountable for successful provisioning of temporary dedicated resources where assigned and return to consistency within assigned time. Success is measured by on time and quality implementation of all tasks and on time and quality return to consistency.
*
Accountable for successful implementation (carrying out) of software failure response program(s), insuring continuous availability and performance of GGRE software applications to the Upstream Application Services Team Lead. Success is measured by zero down time and satisfaction by Upstream Application Team lead of quickness and quality in solving software problems.
*
Accountable for ongoing and continuous communication of available resources (especially software and features of applications) to all members of the GGRE users. Success is measured by demonstration that communication is ongoing and continuous and those examples are documented showing visible increase in productivity of members of the GGRE Teams by use of the communications.
*
Accountable for assessing training needs of the GGRE users and coordinating it. Success is measured by satisfaction by GGRE Teams of adequate training and well-coordinated scheduling; courses attended are applicable to current GGRE Projects.
*
Accountable for providing on-the-project training to members of the GGRE Teams. Success is measured by showing examples of actual upgrade in skills of GGRE Team members though Geo-applications Specialist active participation as part of GGRE Team in successful on-time completion of GGRE Projects.
*
Excellent in spoken and written English
*
Strong in computer and database management (e.g. Landmark application, Petrel, Excel Macros, Access, etc)
