PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) operates a coal mine in Sangatta East Kalimantan and is one of the largest export coal mines in the world is an Indonesian company owned by PT. Bumi Resources. Coal Production in 2006 is expected to exceed 30 Mtpa and there are plans to further expansion in 2007 and beyond. In material movement terms, KPC is also one of the largest open pit mines in the world with a fleet of over 200 haul trucks and 30 shovels moving over 2 millions tones of material per day.

Opportunities exist for a seasoned, high caliber, professional to join the Company with job assignment in Sangatta - East Kalimantan for the positions of:

1. Senior Mining Engineer
(Reporting to the Superintendent Coal Quality)

Main elements of the position description include:
• Coordinate, optimize and monitor the quantity and quality of coal production from the MOD and Contract Pits to the ROM stockpiles and crushers.
• Plan and implant the crusher allocation schedule.
• Coordinate with Superintendent Quality Coordination, Senior Specialist Production Planning and Superintendent Sales Operations to balance Production and Demand (Vessel) schedule.
• Monitor and report ROM coal stocks on daily basis.

Qualifications and experience:
• S1 in mining or Engineering with 5 year experience working in a coal production/geology/quality environment.
• Good numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Able to operate computer software especially spreadsheet.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both bahasa Indonesia and English.

2. Supervisor Component Rebuild
(Reporting to the Superintendent Component Management)

Main elements of the position description include:
• Supervise and control the daily operations of the component rebuild workshop.
• Liaise and co-ordinate planning component change schedule and workshop activities with maintenance supervisors and planner personnel to meet schedules and agreed priorities.
• Liaise with dealers in order to maintain an awareness of new products, technological advancements, techniques and to discuss warranty claims.
• Conduct regular safety inspection of the component rebuild workshop, facilities, equipment and ensure that work procedures are being conducted in accordance with KPC standard.

Qualifications and experience:
• Minimum Technical High School (STM) graduate with 7 years post trade experience in mobile equipment and component rebuild.
• Sound mechanical knowledge and skill of all relevant equipment and components both Heavy Equipment & Haul Truck.
• Good Leadership, Analytical & Problem Solving skills.
• Knowledge of Planning and Scheduling; all store procedures.
• Good knowledge and ability to use computer, such as Ellipse, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
• Good interpersonal and Communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

3. Supervisor Crane & Rigging
(Reporting to the Superintendent Logistic)

Main elements of the position description include:
• Develop lifting plan for any critical lifting.
• Ensure that all works are covered by safe working procedure or job safety analysis.
• Regular coordination with major crane stake holders in relation to the next 3-6 month plan.
• Closely liase with maintenance team to ensure the crane fleet is properly maintained.
• Ensure the crane fleet and its associated lifting gears are registered and at least inspected quarterly
.• Ensure the crews are certified and their certification remains valid.
• Ensure all lifting activities and crane operations are carried out in safe and efficient manners.
• Undertake commissioning prior to use for any crane brought to site.

Qualifications and experience:
• Minimum Senior High School with at least 7 years related experience in Crane & Rigging Operations.
• Certified and capable to carry out crane commissioning and inspection.
• Strong Leadership skills.
• Good Interpersonal and communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Posses Crane related certificate.
