Senior Trade Operations Officer
Major Responsibilities
As Senior Officer, Trade Operations you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service for all trade processes by ensuring compliance with policy and local regulations. You will be accountable for the day-to-day accurate and timely processing of transactions and assist the manager in minimising financial loss by implementing effective internal trade policies & procedures. This role requires you to maintain consistent and regular contact with Manager/Team Leader, Trade Service and understand the Trade sales team needs. You will ensure accuracy in transaction processing particularly documents checking, and bank guarantees within agreed time limits/standards in accordance to Service Level Agreements.
As part of Trade Operations, you will ensure that all checks and controls are in place to prevent potential loss to the Bank. As such you will be required to have an up to date understanding of internal policy and procedural requirements as well as regulatory/statutory requirements of Central Bank. Your desire to put your customers first has you leading the way by providing exemplary customer service, exceeding expectations and thereby raising the profile of ANZ as a bank that’s committed to its customers.
Qualification
You will possess good communication and problem solving skills with a strong knowledge of all International trade products and common understanding of UCP 600, URC 522 and ISP98. Ideally you are tertiary qualified in a related financial services stream with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Experience in handling documents checking of complex L/C, Bank Guarantees, Standby L/Cs, and Trade Loan/ Financing would be an advantage.
