COGNOS ADMINISTRATOR; Singapore Job

Currently we are looking for young and experienced Professional to fulfill following position and will be assigned in one of our major client in Singapore:

Title : COGNOS ADMINISTRATOR

Location : Singapore

Employment status : 1 year contract and extendable

Total Experience Required : 4 – 6 years

Mandatory Skills :
Experience administering Cognos environments in both Windows and Unix (ideally, HPUX) environments, minimum 2 years
Working knowledge of Cognos multi-server administration
Cognos products (Series 7, ReportNet) upgrades
Creating Connection definition in Cognos , Create Cognos Account on each Data source, Import Metadata , Publish Packages, Publish Report
Should have an overall understanding of how data warehousing and web-based business intelligence solutions work
Working knowledge of apache server
Unix skills to aid in installation

With 4-6 years relevant hands on experience in Unix Administration.


Key Job

Responsibilities
Responsible for the ongoing Cognos administration of a distributed, multi-server Cognos environment, which including backup, restore, release upgrades, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Working in conjunction with Data Warehouse Architects, Analysts, Administrators, Cognos Developers, and ETL experts, you will build business intelligence solutions.
Experience administering Cognos environments in both Windows and Unix (ideally, HPUX) environments.
You will need strong knowledge of the Cognos security model
Working knowledge of Cognos multi-server administration.
Creating Connection definition in Cognos , Create Cognos Account on each Data source ,
Import Metadata
Publish Packages, Publish Report.
Knowledge of Oracle database administration plus.
Should have a solid overall understanding of how data warehousing and web-based business intelligence solutions work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills,


Additional Resourcing Remarks:

Willing to work with 12/2 support environment
Willing to work on weekly standby support on global rotation basis.
