Project Management Specialist

Job Description:

* The Project Management Specialist is responsible for
promoting PM principles and developing a PM culture within the business unit.
* Act as a knowledge resource and energetic advocate for PMP.
* Provide training in basic project management
* Train project managers in PM and support their development towards a PMP.
* Help to implement standards and perform spot audits for operational documents.
* Provide reports for management
* Help promote the business units accomplishments to larger community
* Well versant with MS-Project /Primavera software

Requirements:

* This position requires a bachelor degree, +5 experience as a project manager, or quality manager, preferably in an oil & gas service company.
* It also requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with all levels in the organization.
* A thorough understanding of project management methodology is required
* Needs experience rolling out a methodology and supporting project managers
* Also needs change management experiences and an understanding of levels of maturity, Project management certification is a required.

* Ability to teach the subject
