Specialist Computer Operations
Responsibilities:
• To comply with Newmont’s Occupational Health and Safety regulation.
• To install and relocate all hardware including computers, printers, plotters, PDA equipment, scanners, modem and other
hardware as required
• To install and configure the software in each computer and PDA equipment
• To install security systems and antivirus applications in each computer
• To trobleshoot reports for and analyze any problem with the hardware and software system
• To prepare reports on all activities performed including the solutions applied to the problems
• To upgrade his/her professional knowledge in the field of computer operations thourgh training, projects or reading materials and printed media available by subscription and other relevant sources from the internet
• To be assigned to other Newmont’s site as required
• To perform duties other than those covered above
Requirements:
• S1 majoring in Informatics or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in maintaining the computer’s hardware and software, preferably in multinational company
• Understanding of Windows 2000/XP, MS-Office XP/2003 and MS Outlook 2003
• Understanding of Windows 2003-based network and the comcept of windows 2003 Active Directory
• Mastering Internet, internet and e-mail tecnologies
• Understanding the concept of networking and TCP/IP network infrastructure and their applications
• Understanding the work mechanism of computer security systems and Anti Virus applications
• Understanding all aspect of hardware and software operations
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
