U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), American Embassy is recruiting Indonesian Nationals only for a

Local Governance & Decentralization Program Specialist position (Post Code: PS-LGND);

Salary range between Rp.12 – 19 million per month depending on
qualifications, experience and salary history.
Scope of Work:

* This is an exciting opportunity to support good local governance in Indonesia.
The incumbent’s responsibilities include technical advice, management, oversight and monitoring of local governance, decentralization and good governance activities funded by USAID.
* S/he provides specialized expert advice for strategic planning, project design and analysis, management, structure and documentation related to the same.
* S/he directs the development and/or reviews and evaluates annual work plans, quarterly reports, deliverables, activities and budgets of decentralization and local governance projects.
* S/he collaborates and communicates regularly with senior level GOI counterparts, universities, institutes, NGOs, private contractors and
other donor agencies supporting Indonesia’s decentralization process.

Qualifications: USAID is looking for a dynamic and qualified professional to be part of one of the most innovative and successful donor-funded local governance programs.

1. The incumbent must have a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field, such as political science, public administration, local government administration, urban planning or community development.
2. Relevant Master’s degree is a plus, but not required.
3. S/he must have at least five years of progressively responsible managerial and/or project management experience.
4. At least two years should be related to local governance, decentralization, participatory planning and budgeting,
5. DPRD strengthening or a related field.
6. At least two years experience in planning, developing or managing USAID or other donor-funded governance programs also required.
7. Prior experience working or developing professional relationships with relevant GOI and civil society organizations also preferred.
8. Must have oral and written fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
