VACANCY AT CARE Indonesia

CARE Indonesia, as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit. In Tangerang CARE is implementing the Bersih program. Mitra and Avian Influenza Projects.
Mitra Project, purposes to strengthen tuberculosis control efforts in four districts of Banten Province.

CARE Tangerang is currently recruiting for the position of :

FIELD OFFICER
This position will responsible to Project Manager, but technically will be supervised by Training Coordinator. Field Officer will work together with CARE project Staf and other partner to design, planning and implementing activities in community with related institutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with in co-operation with Local Government, opinion leaders, religious groups, community based organizations (CBOs), etc across the target areas, providing information to the community about Tuberculosis, the disease and treatment.
- Organize meetings or events together with the village leaders for the purpose of prevention, early diagnosis, and prompt treatment of Tuberculosis campaign to the community.
- Establish good working relations with the TB team at Puskesmas, Dinas Kesehatan, other CARE project staffs, and community and other organizations within the targeted areas.
- Facilitate activities in order to increase capacity of local volunteers and community groups in implementing TB control activities
- Provide timely and accurate progress reports for the supervisor and other partners as appropriate
- Monitor and evaluate project activities in community level, in coordination with Puskesmas team

QUALIFICATIONS:
- S1 or D3 Degree, medical/health background is preferable
- Strong communication and facilitating skills
- Able to facilitate and develop community groups
- Able to relate well and work with local government officials (RT, RW, Kelurahan/Desa, Kecamatan, etc.)
- Willing to learn the technical aspects of TB diagnosis and treatment
- Able to work with and lead teams
- Previous experience with local or international NGOs in behavior change communication activities would be an advantage
- Able to use computers and MS Windows Applications (MS Word, MS Excel)
- Able to drive a motorcycle and hold a valid driver license
